On November 6th, an important event for the future of immersive education took place: the General Assembly of the XR2Learn consortium, hosted by Maastricht University in the Netherlands. The event brought together partners from across Europe for two intense days dedicated to innovation, sharing results, and planning the next steps for Extended Reality (XR) based learning and training.
During the meeting, the Picaresque team, along with project partners FMTS Group, CeRICT, and the University of Salerno (UNISA), had the valuable opportunity to present the progress and results of XRTwinScape. While the first day focused on the XR2Learn platform, community growth, and planning the final sprint of the project, the second day featured the winners of Open Call 2, providing the perfect stage to showcase the evolution of our immersive training solutions.
Throughout the presentations, we shared insights and contributions on how XRTwinScape is exploring the use of Extended Reality and digital twin technologies to radically transform learning experiences. The sessions tangibly demonstrated the impact of these technologies in creating interactive educational environments, perfectly aligned with European goals for innovation and digital transformation in education.
This participation in the General Assembly confirmed the invaluable worth of international collaboration. The shared commitment of all partners is the true engine driving innovation and the quality of education across Europe. It was an exciting and productive time of discussion, full of synergies and forward-looking ideas.
